Tomatoes are one of my favourite fruits for (some it is a vegetable). I like to eat it fresh, just it is or in fresh garden salad. I like it when it is red and crispy. Tomato is really an all season fruit, it is always available all year round. It is also very versatile fruit, I can cook it with some of my favourite dishes. It can be a main ingredient in my pasta sauce or I can cook it with onions and carrots. It is also one of the most important ingredient in sinigang and ginisang munggo. Tomato is not just good for cooking but also very beneficial for us. Tomato (as for biologist it is known as Solanum lycopersicum ) contains lycopene (which is a very strong antioxidants). There is also a festival known as tomato throwing festival or Tomatina in Valencia Spain. Enjoy your tomato.
